I want you to imagine hearing the three words, “You have cancer.” Sadly, this has been a reality for more than 1.2 million Americans who are fighting or are in remission from blood cancer. I am grateful to have been given the chance to be the voice for millions impacted by cancer.
Our team, Wilson Lewis, is participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Visionaries of the Year campaign. Visionaries of the Year is a 10-week philanthropic competition among leaders in our Atlanta community seeking to make an impact in the fight against cancer. Like many of you, I have witnessed firsthand the debilitating effects that leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma can have on those who suffer from these blood cancers, and on the friends and family who care for and nurture their loved ones. In fact, leukemia still causes more deaths than any other cancer among children under the age of 20.
My personal fundraising goal is to raise $200,000, between today and June 7th. Today marks the first day of this 10-week campaign and I would be honored to count on your support to help us close out DAY 1 with a BANG! $200,000 is a lofty goal, but I am determined to leave my mark on the fight against cancer. I cannot achieve my goal alone, though.
There are a few ways you can support my fundraising efforts:
Not only is Visionaries of the Year a great way to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), but it is also a great experience for me and my team to come together to serve and learn more about this disease. Since 1949, LLS has invested nearly $1.8 billion in cutting edge cancer research, leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are saving and improving the lives of patients. This is an organization that is doing the right things with the dollars it raises, and I’m proud to be associated with LLS.
Team Wilson Lewis can’t wait to share the exciting updates of the next 10 weeks with you. Stay tuned to see what our team and I can accomplish. Thank you in advance for supporting this incredible need.
Until there’s a cure,
Josh Crisp
